@ All Events in City

January 2016 - October 2018

I began my career at All Events in City as an intern and received full ownership of a social engagement tool called Hashchat. It was a real time Twitter hashtag feed built using Node.js, Express.js, Socket.io, and AngularJS. I developed the entire platform from scratch during my 6 month internship while receiving periodic feedback from the CEO.

Hashchat quickly became a core tool for the marketing and event teams. It was used heavily during live AMAs and events. During one of the high traffic AMA sessions, the system handled approximately 1,000 concurrent users without failure. Later, I added moderation features and a tweet preview feature that cached recent tweets before login. That helped onboarding, safety, and user engagement.

After the internship I joined as a full time developer and started working on the main product of the company, allevents.in. My first major responsibility was modernizing the Ticket Management Dashboard. The previous version was built using jQuery and had slow performance with an outdated interface. I upgraded the entire frontend to AngularJS and added a set of new APIs. The workflow became noticeably smoother, and organizers shared positive feedback after the redesign. Analytics also showed an improvement in task completion and overall usability.

My most significant contribution was designing and developing the complete Ticket Booking Flow from scratch using AngularJS. It had a modular step based structure that allowed easy insertion of new steps. The system supported customizable form fields controlled from the Ticket Manager, auto fillable URLs, seat selection, discount codes, and widget embedding on external event websites. After the launch, the new booking system became the default across the platform without requiring any manual migration effort. Ticket sales increased by an estimated 50 to 60 percent, and event organizers benefited from deeper conversion insights using improved analytics.

This journey shaped me both technically and professionally. I learned modern JavaScript frameworks, built efficient data structures for frontend applications, worked with backend communication through PHP and APIs, and improved my design thinking with helpful guidance from the CEO Amit Panchal and my coworkers.
